To all fans and those soon to be: The edgy comedy series “Herzog” will soon make its debut on DVD – and this time, you’ll get to see more than just three episodes!

Get a sneak peek at the cover here:

I’ll update with the release date as soon as I can confirm it.

Update:The DVDs are scheduled to be released on July 13, 2009.

Update 2:The release has been pushed back to August 21, 2009.

Great news: The network just greenlit the tv-movie that I wrote with my colleagues Berthold Probst and Oliver Welter last year. I can’t go into specifics just yet, but it’s been our first 90min project and not only did it sell immediately but it’s actually going to be produced. Huzzah!

I’ll update with details as soon as I get them (and am allowed to share).

Just a quick one to let you know the release schedule for the remaining “Mein Leben & Ich” seasons on dvd. According to my information seasons 3&4 are set for a spring release in March, seasons 5&6 will follow in June. As you know, nothing’s set in stone so don’t blame me if something changes, especially as this would mean a dvd release of season six before it has been aired. So take it with a grain of salt and be happy nonetheless, as good things come to those who wait!

I’d like to wish you all a very happy and successful new year which I will start off with a little TV alert: RTL is rerunning “Mein Leben & Ich” (me and my life)! Starting saturday morning, RTL will begin with a rerun of the first season. I don’t know how many episodes will air but I do know the airdates of the first few episodes:

  • “Der Einbruch” – Jan 3, 2009 8:10, repeated Jan 4, 2009 4:15
  • “Eine gewisse Chemie” – Jan 10, 2009 8:20, repeated Jan 11, 2009 4:05
  • “Die Liste” – Jan 17, 2009 8:25, repeated Jan 18, 2009 4:55
  • “Villa Massimo” – Jan 24, 2009 7:50, repeated Jan 25, 2009 5:10

The first two seasons are also available on DVD in Germany.

Happy holidays to everyone of you, and a little tip for a last-minute Christmas present: Seasons one and two of “Mein Leben & Ich” (“Me and my life”) are available now on DVD…

The edgy comedy series “Herzog” of which I wrote one episode and head wrote another six has been nominated for a German comedy award, even though the network pulled the plug after only three episodes due to subpar ratings. Congratulations to my colleagues Gerd Lurz, Marko Lucht, Berthold Probst, and Oliver Welter, whom I worked with on the show, as well as to the entire team of “Achtung Hartwich!” which has been nominated as well.

Cologne, Germany. In a move sure to surprise mostly myself, I just pushed the button and made my new website available to the general public. Here you’ll find everything I promised you on the RSS welcome post, and even a little more (A picture! A blogroll! More links!). If you didn’t get the welcome post, you aren’t subscribed to my newsfeed yet (see what you’re missing?) so if you’re still wondering what the hell you’re supposed to do on my page anyway, start with that.  You may choose between the English and the German version of the feed (browser bar rss icon defaults to the English one but the direct links are in the sidebar), they both contain the respective version of the news and blog posts. Or just subscribe to both and see how much of me gets lost in translation.

Anyway, I’m glad this is finally up and I’m ready to roll, so let’s have it, people. Questions, comments, anything, bring it on. Oh, and if you know of a good blog or two about writing/screenwriting please let me know!

(Since this is the starting post I made it both a news and a blog post, expect different content for news and blog from now on.)
